ABOUT

Kati Simon is a Los Angeles based production designer, art director, and illustrator who after completing a three-year assistantship at Shaffner-Stewart Production Design in variety television, spent the last seven years designing and art directing single camera features, shorts, and commercials. On the feature front, she art directed The Endless which won best production design at NIFFF 2017 and went on to art direct for Moorhead and Benson on their 2019 Synchronic, and their newest film, Something in the Dirt. She conceptualized, art directed, and storyboarded a dark, colorful fantasy anthology called The Mortuary Collection, relying heavily on hand drawing as a means of visually communicating the director’s vision. She also art directed the gritty action feature Archenemy and Amy Seimitz’s highly acclaimed She Dies Tomorrow.  As a production designer, she has designed the neo-noir period piece, Vide Noir, and has three features set to release this year: Trim Season, Aporia, and Destroy All Neighbors.
